Can you believe it's April already!

Boy or Boy, I am so glad to have the warmer weather back. Just love seeing all the spring flowers popping up. Just look out my kitchen window yesterday and saw my pear tree in bloom. We planted this tree at the last house we lived in and when moving Tom dug it up and brought it with us. Now this was in the dead of winter. But we planted it anyway. Last year it grew it's little leaves back and we knew it was going to make it. No blooms, but we was just happy it survived. Then when I saw the blossums, I just wanted to shout "Hooray!" I can't wait to get my flowers going and fix up my little porch. That is my little private spot, where I go to for some talks with God and a great place for some reading. As excited as I get about Spring, it sometimes bothers me that time is moving so fast. Just like yesterday, we had our family Easter dinner. We have some good cooks in our family, so of course we all eat too much. Just have to try it all. But as I watched the grandchildren, niece's and nephew's playing, I realized just how much they all have grown. Stephen now 20 is such a wonderful young man, Spencer now 16, driving! And is turning into a man right in front of me, Macee our little angel, is 10, and really growing. In fact she baked and decorated a cake for our dessert. She's going to be a good little pastry chef. Then there's Jake, he' also 10, and all boy! Anything rough and dirty and he's happy. Then our little Breanna, 5 and Lexie,3 are the sweetest little girls. And then comes Landry, 2, you better like singing and dancing, because that's what she is doing all the time. They are all such fun and a true blessing to the family. Then I have Trisha,16 and Johnnie 14 that couldn't be there, but both really good kids. I would have to say, they are all going to bring us so much pleasure, and our future is sure to be busy! My life has been blessed with all these beautiful little ones. And look forward to the additions to come.

Just to many craft ideas!

Well if you know me well you know that I love crafts. Any craft! But mostly knitting, sewing, cross stitch,scrapbooking/paper crafts, crocheting, painting, and just basic crafts, the list goes on. But how could you possibly find a favorite! After I have finished with a project I'm so excited about what I've done it's hard to lay it down and go on to another project. So I usually have a few in differert stages. Now my real problem is that when I go to any of the craft shops, LOOK OUT! I could use a U-Haul to bring all the things "I WANT"and maybe need to get. Fabric, oh my gosh! I want a piece off of every bolt. You should see the cabinet I have it all stored in. And being a Virgo, it's all organized by color, shade. But you'd be surprised what my craft room looks like. You just can't keep a room with so many projects going, NEAT. But I can always find what I need. Is there anyone else like this? I just need everything to make the project all come together. Sad thing is, it may be months or years before I get to it. And patterns, I just can't explain how I am about patterns. You just never know when you may want to make something new. I know, I know, I really don't need all of it. But it's so fun!!! I guess if that's the worse I do, then it's not too bad. Is there anyone that just buys for just the project they are working on and then moves on to a new one? Without all the storage for of supplies, for that just in case project? Well have a good day and if your in you craft room, happy crafting!

Blessings, Brenda

Day out for the girls!

Well today after church, my daughter,Patrice and granddaughter, Macee and I took off for the day, just us girls. We went to lunch, something we think we always need to do. Had good conversation and Macee kept us entertained. Then we had to go the Old Time Pottery. Love that place. If your looking for something special, you will probably find it there. And alot more than you planned on getting. Then we went shopping for clothes for Macee. She has taken a growing spurt and her little legs are getting pretty long and everything looked like knee knockers!! I went to the purse's and found several that I really wanted. Then I thought about all the frugal spending that we have all been talking about and removed the purse's from my cart. Hold me back!!!! I really want them. But you know, since I've been home and with out my desired purchase, I HAVE survived. Anyway, just being with my girls today was the best. And that is all I need. We can't get together without having alot of fun and lots of laughs. And that's what it's all about anyway, Right!

Grandbabie's are growing up!

Well I mentioned in my introduction that my grandkids are my life. This weekend our oldest grandson, Stephen, is taking off for Kenducky State to see about attending college there next year. He will be a Junior. I can remember when he was so little and of course one of his favorite places to go was McDonald's. He just couldn't wait to get some "hot fries". He had a head full of the prettiest curls you have ever seen. But now here he is a grown young man. He is a really good boy and we are so proud of him. You just wish you could keep them tiny and with you all the time. I miss the cuddling when their little. But Stephen has always been one to just jump right in there with a big hug. I hope they never stop! But you know, as they grow the adventure's always change and new memory's are made. Stories that I can sit with my great grandchildren and tell them all the fun we had! If you have some favorite memory's with grandkids, I'd love to hear them.
